Want an Active Lifestyle?

15 Motivating Tips to help kick start an Active Lifestyle
1. Carry water EVERYWHERE (ones body needs a minimum of 6 glasses of water per day)
2. Create a challenge for yourself and treat yourself to a small reward once completed (i.e. I will buy a new dress once I have lost 5 pounds) or if you are a shopaholic (i.e. I will not buy a dress until I have lost 5 pounds)
3. Train for an event- there are tons of fun fitness events such as marathons go to active.com to find out more.

4. Make a fitness schedule for the month and make copies! (For your office, one for your room, one for your fridge, one for your purse)
5. Plan ahead of time and have a plan B in case you miss a class or can’t make it to the gym (fitness videos, YouTube, at home gym)
6. Instead of a girls night filled with wine, popcorn, and junk food; plan a fun fitness night (yoga, strip tease, Pilates, etc)
7. Make multiple kick-ass playlists (you can even have different themed playlists such as Janet Jackson and Britney Spears)
8. Make your meals more colorful- add fruit and veggies ladies!
9. DON’T SKIP BREAKFAST- even if you aren't a breakfast fanatic, it is still the most important meal of the day!
10. Sleep, Green Tea, and Red wine are your friends- sleep 8 hours a night (is best), green tea is a natural antioxidant, and red wine has lower carbs than other wines.
11. Learn what 'serving size' means, and master your 'portion control'. There IS such a thing of Too much!
12. Keep a daily fitness journal – log what you eat, how many hours of sleep, what your fitness activity was for the day, then write how you felt that day (this is the most important way to understand your body!)
13. Drink a glass of water before you eat
14. Eat no more than 20 minutes after you work out, it is best for your metabolism and to keep the weight-loss in effect.
15. Ignore the scale- focus on staying healthy-- LISTEN TO YOUR BODY.
